At PUREBOX, we choose to reuse clean, unwanted packaging from local businesses, schools, and organisations instead of buying new.

This keeps valuable materials out of landfill, reduces demand for new resources, and gives your unwanted packaging a second life as part of something positive. ♻️

  • Plastic of any kind
  • Bubble wrap or plastic void fill
  • Polystyrene
  • Foil lined packaging
  • Food contaminated materials
  • Wet, mouldy, or soiled paper
  • Hazardous or chemical packaging

To protect our customers and the environment, all donated materials are carefully checked and only reused if they meet our clean and safe standards.

Why Your Packaging Really Matters

12.5 million tonnes of paper & cardboard waste every year in the UK

Every year, millions of tonnes of paper and cardboard enter the UK waste system. Much of it is clean, reusable packaging from everyday businesses — yet a large amount is still thrown away instead of being given a second life.

Over 20% of all UK commercial waste is cardboard

More than one fifth of all commercial waste in the UK is made up of cardboard. From offices and hotels to warehouses and factories, huge volumes of clean, reusable packaging are discarded every single day.

Only around 70% of paper & cardboard is successfully recycled

Although much paper and cardboard is recycled, a significant amount is still lost through contamination or disposal. Reuse keeps materials in circulation for longer and reduces the need for new resources to be produced.

  • STEP 2 – We Arrange Collection or Drop Off 🚚

    We’ll agree the easiest way to get your donation to us

    • Free local collection where possible
    • Or simple drop off if preferred
    • Cornwall & Devon prioritised

  • STEP 3 – We Reuse It in PUREBOX ♻️

    Your packaging is reused in our zero waste boxes

    Your donated materials:

All donated materials are checked to ensure they are clean, safe, and suitable for reuse before being used in our boxes.
